Sammendrag
Atmospheric emission sources and transport within air masses of some polychlorinated hydrocarbons, fluoranthene and quinones are reviewed and their importance for the Arctic is discussed. The origin of hydrocarbons in the Arctic is examined with the help of measured concentration ratios of γ- to α-HCH during 5 measurement campaigns in Fall 1982 - Summer 1984 at stations in the Arctic and the Norwegian mainland, and information from weather maps and wind back-trajectories.
