In the report an attempt is made to estimate the emission of trace elements to the atmosphere from various sources in the European countries. The data have been obtained on the basis of trace emission factors, and statistical information on the consumption of ores, rocks, and fuel and the production of various types of industrial goods. Available information on differences in manufacturing techniques, import-export relations of fuels and ores, different dust removal installations and their effectiveness have been taken into account.
