dc.description.abstractThe RAINS-ASIA model has been developed to assist decision-makers analyse future trends in emissions, estimate regional impacts of acid deposition and to evaluate costs and effectiveness of alternative control measures. The model has been reviewed by a team of scientists with long experience in one or more of the relevant disiplines. The main conclusion of the review is that RAINS-ASIA has been based on sound technical and scientific judgement and offers a useful tool for policy analysis.
