LEAD IN BLOOD IN INHABITANTS IN OSLO-NYDALEN EXPOSED TO AIR LEAD FROM INDUSTRIAL AND VEHICULAR SOURCES.
Abstract
Blood lead was measured in two populations - one exposed to moderate lead emissions from traffic pollution and industrialized sources (Oslo-Nydalen), and a control low exposure town (Sørumsand). Blood lead concentrations were higher in Oslo-Nydalen. Blood lead values were significantly correlated to exposure to air lead. Other factors such as age or alcohol consumption seemed as important as their lead in determining blood lead concentrations.
