dc.description.abstract | The SK sampling system (filter mounted after sampling line and manifold) has been compared to an open-face filter holder mounted outside. The SK system undersamples ambient aerosols due to sampling line losses. Aerosol loss appears to be particle size related, and can exceed 50% for the coarse particles. The two sampling systems gave no significant differences between smoke determinations by the reflectance method. | |
