dc.description.abstract | Several SF6 tracers tests were conducted within a laboratory-office building in order to investigate the building ventilation system. This work serves as a demonstration of how tracer techniques can be used to characterize building ventilation systems. The results show that ventilation efficiencies can vary widely among different parts of the building. Tracer released into the laboratory side of the building rapidly appeared on the office side of the building. The tracer data suggest that, in some cases, existing air flow rates may be greater than those specified in the ventilation design data. | |
